Women Lash Out Against Ted

Poor Ted.

After Ted Kennedy endorsed Barak Obama, feminist Marcia Pappas (NOW) has excoriated him like a shrew whose husband has left for another man:

Women have just experienced the ultimate betrayal. Senator Kennedy’s endorsement of Hillary Clinton’s opponent in the Democratic presidential primary campaign has really hit women hard. Women have forgiven Kennedy, stuck up for him, stood by him, hushed the fact that he was late in his support of Title IX, the ERA, the Family Leave and Medical Act to name a few. Women have buried their anger… And now the greatest betrayal! We are repaid with his abandonment!

He’s picked the new (black) guy over us. He’s joined the list of progressive white men who can’t or won’t handle the prospect of a woman president who is Hillary Clinton…
Maybe Kennedy just supports the Democrat who he believes is least like Ms. Pappas.

But Americans should not fault Pappas for her tantrum. After all, isn't her's the logical argument for the champions of affirmative action and the abandonment of equal opportunity? While conservatives and independents now debate which candidate is most qualified to confront issues of national security, our economy, healthcare, illegal immigration and radical Islam, Democrats are still arguing whether dark skin is better than a vagina.

So much for the "party of change" - unless, of course, they're referring to diapers.

Former LAUSD Teacher Speaks Out

When President Bush spoke of the faith based private schools that are closing down throughout America, he proposed to provide millions of dollars to support them and the parents of struggling students. Republicans jumped to their feet while Democrats sat on their hands.

Ari Kaufman writes that, as a public school teacher in the LAUSD;

The path of self-preservation would have been to button my lip, work hard for two years, get tenured, then start writing opinion pieces about how California's educational system needed change. But rather than hypocritically accepting what I saw around me, I spoke up, and paid the price.

It seems like every teacher who disagrees with me speaks the same mantra: They aver that I should not be allowed tell a veteran how to teach. But, lo and behold, if these folks were ambitious and new to a company in the "real world" or an enterprise such as the military, they would be the first to tell their superiors to stop doing things the old-fashioned way and come up to speed in the 21st century. Only when their jobs are being critiqued do they rely on the conservative notion that veterans of an organization always know best.
His eye opening report helps explain why so many public school teachers quit in frustration.

Hillary's Tears

About ten years ago I attended a series of communications courses with senior executives of major US companies. The course, presented by an internationally recognized behavioral sciences company, teaches executives how to communicate with managers and customers. NASA uses the process to assemble shuttle crews. Besides CEOs and executives of Fortune 500 companies, graduates include Bill and Hillary Clinton. The company is based in Little Rock, and the director has known the Clintons for many years.

During the first class, attendees are given a questionnaire, which is designed to evaluate the students’ behavioral and communicative profile.

After completing the testing and evaluation process, I asked about BS detectors. I explained that, while Hillary Clinton presents herself as an emotionally-connected and compassionate woman, I sensed something less than compassion in her. I asked the director, “Where did Hillary Clinton rank in emotion and compassion in your testing?”

The director smiled, looked down a moment and replied, “Almost non-existent.”

Hillary says that the presidential race is very personal to her. I believe that much more than the fake tears that she could not release. Bill’s just a better actor.
